Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa with a love for filmmaking, comedy, Formula 1 and music. I’m now starting a new chapter in the UK.

I am a writer and director with over 12 years of experience in commercials and documentaries, but narrative filmmaking is where my true passion lies, as seen in my short films and music videos.

Despite being highly technical, I’m a storyteller at my core, always looking for ways to construct and improve the heart and lungs of a film.

I have won a Cannes Lion, a One Show and numerous other international awards for clients such as Johnnie Walker, ESPN, Carling, and Virgin. My short films have been selected for multiple international film festivals, such as Aesthetica, Directors Notes, Kino and Shnit Worldwide.

I am naturally drawn to comedy, the dry, quirky kind. Even when creating a film primarily based in another genre, I’ll always find a way to infuse my own offbeat humour, as I believe it opens up the viewer to experience other emotions on a deeper level.

Comedy with heart is the type of humour I am drawn to.
